No huge staff…no fancy headquarters….just a dedicated team of energy professionals who do things right…the first time.

Our affiliate companies have been selling electricity in the Midwest for over 15 years so we have learnt the hard way what works.

We have to be based somewhere and chose Norwalk, CT but have people in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and New England. We have plans to serve all competitive energy markets

Our Team

Switch Energy is comprised of a team of experienced energy professionals.  We have a small staff with great experience and dedicated to doing things right…the first time.

Glenn Payne – CEO

Glenn has spent almost his entire adult life in the energy industry which helped create his vision for Switch Energy.  He has extensive experience in areas of commodities, power generation, corporate strategy, renewables and retail energy.  Prior to starting Switch Energy, Glenn was the CEO of a public company in London.

Glenn’s goal is to create a different kind of energy company.  He’s seen how good guys get great results an is always trying to emulate them.  “I try to do what’s right for our customers and employees…that’s a good place to start and the way I want to run Switch Energy” says Glenn.

Glenn grew up in Australia but has lived in the US (5 states and no more according to his wife), Singapore and the UK for the past 21 years.  He was educated at the Universities of Melbourne and Michigan (Go Blue) as well as the Institute of Charted Accountants.

He calls Connecticut home as does Mrs. Payne and their two high school sons and a golden retriever.  When not working at Switch Energy he’s tinkering with their new house.

Alla Guttsait – Operations

Alla is our operations expert who brings over 12 years of operations management experience in the competitive energy industry.  Before joining Switch Energy, Alla was at Gateway Energy for 11 years and also startup energy company YourEnergy.

At Switch Energy, Alla oversees all areas of operations to insure our customers have a smooth, hassle-free customer experience.  “We work hard to get things right the first time so customers don’t have to worry about their energy.  Folks have enough to worry about already” says Alla.

Alla is married to her awesome husband Slava and has two adorable kids, Maxwell and Jaimie.

Brian Grant – Customer Care

Brian is our “Jack of all trades” in customer care who’s worked in customer service, operations and technology support in the energy and cable television industries since 2004.  “I consider myself a dedicated problem solver who is determined to bring a solution to any issue that arises no matter how big or small.  Fixing customer problems is where the rubber hits the road….I love what I do” says Brian.

Brian is a certified IT technician and enjoys working with computers and other technical hardware. When not reading the latest IT technical manuals, Brian is an unapologetic Yankees fan.

Ana Villarreal – Accounting

Ana is our resident accountant, office manager, score keeper and multi-tasker.  Ana has done it all with over 10 years of supervisory accounting experience, working her way up from clerk positions to senior account roles with the public and private sectors while simultaneously obtaining a Bachelors in Accounting.

Ana’s energy around the office is infectious as she makes sure the books balance each month while keeping us stocked with coffee, bottled water, office supplies as well as making sure we get paid.  If this is not enough, Ana is currently attending a CPA review course at Hunter College in NYC and plans to sit for the auditing section of the CPA this October.

Ana has four children which includes a set of 24 year old fraternal twins. Her oldest son is a veteran and currently serves proudly in the United States Marine Corp, his twin has an undergrad in education and is currently attending Sacred Heart University. Eldest daughter 23, is employed in the food industry and the youngest 12 is still in middle school. She also has a pit bull Samson, who is 3 years old.
